We The People

Our mission is to learn to apply God’s principles to the public square, honoring personhood, parenthood, and a system of government reflecting God’s design. This is non-partisan in nature, pursuing the blessings of liberty for all. Our purpose is to educate, inform and inspire people to apply their faith in the public square and to influence government and policies that allow us all to individually and collectively thrive and flourish.

Psalm 33:12

“What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.”

Get informed! It’s not always easy to read between the lines to really see what a candidate stands for with all the nuanced and slick language, here are some suggestions:

    • Do your research, get on-line and dig in a little bit on the people that affect you on the ballot.

    • Talk to your neighbors and trusted sources who share your values and may be a little more informed.

    • Consider party affiliations (Democrat vs Republican) and the platforms that each party espouses. This gives you a candidate’s general philosophical alignment. Party Platforms

    • Review the candidate list linked below for consideration in this election. This link provides a list of candidates and some recommendations for your consideration. If you do not see a particular position or office listed, there was not enough knowledge to make a recommendation. The individuals recommended are an aggregate of many people providing input from a variety of experiences and perspectives, but who all hold a strong biblical worldview.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: There are times when there is no candidate running for an office or position that aligns with our faith, values, or biblical worldview. We at times have to pick the one that would do the lesser harm. This is never pleasant, but none the less important. With that said, some recommendations may seem difficult or even contrarian, but not voting is worse.)

    • Pray! Ask for God to guide you and give you wisdom. (Proverbs 3:5-6, James 1:5)
